The flights were wicked long! We had 29 & 1/2 hours travel to get there from Bar Harbor! We stayed with Bridget & Coliin for a few days while we sorted ourselves out and caught up. They have a great house with an incredible back yard, and we enjoyed visiting on the deck as the Kookaburra's, Cockatoos, and other strange birds (and sounds) made their presence known. Purple birds are strange, native or not! They are also close to Chinatown, and we ate there quite a bit, Bridget speaks Chinese, so it is a treat.

We picked up our rental and ran into our only rain storm on the way back from the dealer. No rain suits, no jackets, and a tropical thunderstorm. We also promptly got lost. After the sun came out, we rode north to Mona Vale and took a road that meandered along the Pacific back to Sydney. Where we got lost again.           Our ride for the next three weeks.
